Understanding Your Porsche Warranty: Guidance From Your Local Porsche Center
Length of Warranty Coverage
If you buy a new Porsche, your New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage lasts 50,000 miles or four years. The coverage period starts on the date you take delivery of the vehicle. New Porsche vehicles also come with a 12-year Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty.
If you purchase a certified pre-owned (CPO) Porsche, the warranty lasts two years with unlimited miles. Coverage begins when the New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires. Porsche also offers a CPO Warranty Extension program. This one-year service contract begins when your CPO Limited Warranty expires. A CPO Porsche vehicle must go through a rigorous 111-point inspection to receive certification.
Benefits of Warranty Coverage
Both the Porsche New Vehicle Limited Warranty and the CPO Limited Warranty come with 24-hour roadside assistance. These policies cover the replacement or repair of factory-installed components that fail during the warranty period due to normal use. Eligible parts include the engine, comfort electronics, vehicle body, electrical systems, brakes, heating and air conditioning, brakes, steering, suspension, transmission, powertrain, and fuel system.
Obtaining Warranty Repairs
Factory-trained technicians perform all Porsche under-warranty repairs. If a qualifying Porsche component failure occurs, they pay for genuine new or re-engineered Porsche parts along with labor.
You must take the vehicle to an authorized Porsche repair center during regular business hours along with your official ID and proof of the date you purchased your vehicle. You don’t have to pay a deductible to use your warranty if your Porsche has a covered repair need.
Warranty Exclusions
The Porsche new vehicle warranty does not cover certain components of your car or SUV. Exclusions include:
- Appearance issues that do not affect the operation of the vehicle
- Broken glass
- Air conditioner refrigerant
- Damaged batteries
- Consumables
- Hardware or software issues caused by a cyberattack
Your warranty also excludes problems with the emissions system. Coverage does not pay for component failure caused by excessive wear and tear or other misuse of the vehicle.
Arbitration Process
The Porsche new vehicle warranty establishes an arbitration process used to resolve issues. If you have a problem with your warranty, you must file a claim with CAP-Motors by calling 800-279-5343 or sending the necessary information by mail.
