The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster lineup includes five distinct trims. The base Boxster and Style Edition feature 18-inch Boxster wheels and a dual-exit central exhaust system. The Boxster S upgrades to 19-inch wheels and larger air intakes. The Style Edition stands out with Ruby Star Neo paint and 20-inch wheels in high-gloss black. The GTS 4.0 features 20-inch 718 Sport wheels in satin black with the Sport Design package. All models include a power-folding fabric convertible top with a heated glass rear window.
Engine (Power)
The base Boxster and Style Edition use a 2.0L turbocharged flat-four engine producing 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The Boxster S steps up to a 2.5L turbocharged flat-four with 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. The GTS 4.0 features a 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six generating 394 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.A six-speed manual transmission comes standard across all trims, with an optional seven-speed PDK automatic transmission available.
Performance
The base Boxster and Style Edition accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 171 mph. The Boxster S improves to 4.2 seconds and reaches 177 mph. The GTS 4.0 delivers a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds with the manual transmission and 3.4 seconds with PDK, achieving top speeds between 179-182 mph. The GTS 4.0 includes Porsche Active Suspension Management with adaptive dampers as standard equipment, while other trims offer it as an option. A torque-vectoring differential enhances cornering capabilities.
Interior
The cockpit features a 7-inch touchscreen display with Porsche Communication Management. Sport seats with partial leather upholstery come standard in the base Boxster and Style Edition. The GTS 4.0 upgrades to Sport Seats Plus with leather and Alcantara upholstery and adds the GTS interior package with Race-Tex materials. Dual-zone automatic climate control maintains comfort in all models. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and includes two USB ports.
Safety Features
Porsche Stability Management with ABS and traction control provides foundational safety across the range. Front and side airbags work with Porsche Side Impact Protection, while fixed roll-over bars offer additional protection. ParkAssist includes front and rear sensors and a reversing camera for low-speed maneuvering. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System monitors wheel conditions continuously. Advanced safety options include automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
